We envision a future with equitable governance systems that apply scientific knowledge to environmental challenges at multiple scales and across boundaries. We pursue solutions-oriented research that integrates diverse knowledge about causes, consequences, and uncertainties of environmental change with an understanding of the social and political context. We value diversity and inclusivity in all aspects of our work by welcoming students and researchers of all backgrounds and traditions into our lab as colleagues and collaborators. We emphasize the mentorship of women, minorities, and first-generation students.

The Lopez-Hoffman Lab has it's own website.
